Details of ISSUE or REQUEST (Please be as specific as possible):
Bandsaw in the woodshop is currently down while a new blade is ordered. Apologies that a replacement blade wasn’t in stock. We’ll also be upgrading the guide bearing system at the same time – hopefully making the saw perform better overall for the types of work members are using it for.

Please remember that VOLUNTEERS will be helping to resolve this issue. While everyone works very hard to fix things quickly, sometimes things take time. Please consider volunteering to help keep everything working well at our space!

@mgrossbauer blade guides showed up this weekend, blade is scheduled for Monday.

I’ll drop the guides off at LMN this afternoon.

@mgrossbauer The blade is in now as well. Both are on the front tables at the space.

The band saw is back in service. The new guides and blade have been installed.

awesome, thanks for taking the effort.

Thanks @mgrossbauer! Are the new guides an improvement?

The new guides are a big improvement, as is the new blade. The blade is 1/2" 6 TPI, a general purpose blade. Material being cut must be at least 1/2" thick, and the minimum radius for curves is 2.5".

Did we add signage to the saw about not adjusting / changing blades w/o assistance?
