Who's good at zippers?

I have a tool bag with a stuck zipper. I don’t know if it’s fixable, or needs replacing (which wouldn’t be worth it). It’s on a heavy canvas gator bag. If someone could do a little consulting, I’d appreciate it.

If the zipper is not missing any teeth, I’d suggest using a number two pencil to apply graphite onto the teeth of the zipper. A messier option would be to use wd40 to lubricate it.

I do not see any missing teeth, so I don’t see anything obstructing it from working. I also does not appear to have anything caught in the zipper preventing its operation so I suggest lubrication and the using pliers to apply force. It appears to be in working order.

Odd as it may seem, Chapstick can work. Not as marring as graphite or WD40,though still a wax, it should work well (just don’t expect a lot of the Chapstick to be worth its intended use afterwards).

I can take a look the next time we are in the same place!

I’ve used an ordinary crayon to lube a zipper before. And you can choose a color that matches the item.
