I am looking for a few people interested in doing tool checkouts in the wood shop. I will be out of town most of January and February. I don’t want new members to have to wait until I return for checkouts. A few people have asked me about being able to do this. The criteria is that you need to have good working skills with the tools in the wood shop, and can convey those skills in an effective manner. It also helps if you have been a member for awhile.
I’m usually in the shop Thursday evenings from about 5-8 PM, so that’s a good starting point for this. This Thursday (nov 20) may be busy as I will be finishing my prep for the make-and-take event Saturday, but if you’re interested, you can drop by then. Otherwise let’s set a time to talk about it.
I’m usually in the shop for checkouts on Thursday evenings on a drop-in basis - no appoint needed. But that’s a holiday this week. And this Saturday is the How To Holiday event.
So I’m available Monday or Tuesday evening next week, and possibly Friday and Sunday. If those work, let me know. If not, propose a time that’s good for you.
And I’m still looking for people who want to be the person giving checkouts in the wood shop. If you’re interested, please let me know.
If nothing else, I’ll be back on Thursday the 4th with an unrestricted timeline to try and collect all the other tools. Was super fun last week, I just didn’t allocate enough time but that’s easy enough to correct.
