Hello @Tony – the standing orbital sander may need some maintenance. The pad currently has some metal exposed–either someone used it up or possibly used something not permitted with it. It left burn marks on a piece of wood and started to smoke, so we put a sign on it saying waiting for maintenance.
I’m not sure how to replace the pad–let me know if you want help, I am willing to learn
Kryz, I will be in the shop on Wednesday or Thursday to take a look. Which sander are you talking about? The oscillating spindle sander? Or the disc sander next to it?
I removed the sandpaper from this tool today, and cleaned the surface of the rotor. As soon as I can get the replacement sandpaper, it will be available again. My apologies for the delay on this tool.
