**Update: I replaced the cartridge but the saw still didn’t seem happy. I unplugged it and then plugged it back in. It is currently working.
The SawStop was giving a solid red light when I turned it on this evening- indicating that the cartridge needs replacing. It doesnt appear to have tripped on the blade and it was spaced correctly. I reseated it and restarted it, but it gave the same error.
I found two cartridges in the woodshop cabinet that appear to be lightly used but they clearly didn’t trip. Suspicious.
I am going to replace the one throwing an error with one of the alternates and hope for the best. To be continued…
Laura, weve had some issues with this lately. We tried the dado cartridge sunday, and it wouldn’t work. The regular cartridge didnt work after, then it did. Tonight, around 7 or so, carl tried the dado cartridge and it worked. All of this means the saw us being finicky. If its working ok, great!
I wonder if we have some bad or dirty contacts. I’ll clean it out tomorrow , and maybe that will help.
I used it this afternoon as well, and had no problems. I don’t know the cause of the problems earlier problems, though.
I would say go ahead and use it. If you have problems, try turning it off, count slowly to 10, and try it again. Please report here if you have problems with it.
