April 26th, 9am-2pm is Recycle-Rama this year.
There are some things around the space that need to be cleaned out, including the dehumidifiers that we weren’t able to use for the take-apart clinics, the MAPP gas canisters left over from the glass bead classes, a pile of cardboard, etc.
Anyone want to meet to do a bit of a shop trash clear out together that day?
Bonus if you’ve got a truck/trailer so that we can do the whole thing in one load!
Scrap metal is recycled materal at these locations anytime.

@bjadms8 re. propane and MAPP gas, would you (or anyone else who wants to jump in) be able to demo the process for how to safely get the canisters ready to scrap?
I’m willing to take notes + pics and write up an SOP.
I can come anytime Thursday or Friday.
1 we make sure it’s empty of any gase, by connecting to a torch and burning off any gase, then drill hole to vent.
2 one can fill it with water and drain
3 cut it in half or if want use it as a container for punches or flowers and thing creative.
If you check the punch container you find the bottom of propane bottle. With edges rolled down to keep from cutting the user.
That the process and can come do a few.
