The national council for education in ceramic arts conference is in Detroit this year. They have scheduled several talks focusing on CNC milling, 3d printing, someone from gm talking about sculpting model cars, and other things that might be interesting to people who are not potters so I thought I’d let everyone know.
I will be attending all 4 days, but you can check the schedule and just buy a day pass to see the talks you want, on February 5th the discount for 4 day passes ends and individual day passes go on sale.
It is a very big deal in pottery and people have been telling me for 2 years how excited they are that they’ll actually be able to go without flying across the country.
