Please share a bit about yourself!

Hi all!

An MSU journalism student is writing three articles about our space for a class project! The first will be a summary about LMN itself. Another will be about our members! You guys!

I’d love it if you replied with what you make (pictures are encouraged!), what you’ve learned, what you like about the space, and information about yourself

Plus, I also am very curious and would really like to learn more about y’all as well

oh, neat! I can go first!

I am Anna Schiller, and I’ve made a lot of very different stuff here! I was introduced to the space to learn how to and finish my enormous crochet wing shawl. I’ve stayed for the community and the wonderful project ideas. I’ve made a tiny sketchbook, hangers for my hiking challenge coins, wooden boxes to hold home-brewed beer, and a bunch of really neat sandblasting projects! I think that you can really do anything in the space. My favorites are the ongoing groups we have: learning new things and seeing other people’s projects are the best parts of Open Stitch, Bring Your Own Project, and Miniature Painting. I mostly make small things, but it’s very cool to see someone forging roses or building canoes at LMN, it’s awesome! I, myself, planning on tackling rug tufting and more woodworking (bookshelves!) next.

Some pictures of my projects:

And I’ve recently learned how to make zines too! I’d upload some of those, but this post is pretty hefty as is. I’m always happy to answer questions!
