We have no running water in the building. There’s a frozen pipe (outside our portion of the building) and we’re on the wrong end of it.
Building management has been notified.
The building superintendent has been over to look at it. The good news is nothing seems to have burst. He’s applying some gentle heat to the frozen pipe.
The water has returned. The landlord wrapped some of the exposed water pipe with heater tape.
To keep from re-freezing the pipe during this very cold snap, please keep a slight trickle of water flowing in the faucets (only cold water of course, so we don’t waste the heated water).
The water picked up a lot of rust during the whole process, so it may taste funny.
