I just installed a nice doorbell button at the front door, and put three ringers around the building. There is one up front outside the Digital Fab room, one in the metal side of the shop to the left of the break room doors, and one up high on the back wall of the wood shop. This should make it audible in most of the building.
I tried putting a ringer in the ironworks, but the range was not good enough. It’s not that I wasn’t thinking of you guys.
There is a second button, but I’m inclined to just have one button at the front door, and put signage at the other doors telling people to go there. Then when it rings, there’s only one place to check. But I am open to other doorbell schemes. The ringers flash “1” or “2” depending on which button is pressed. But then we have to agree on door numbers.
If someone wants to make some signs for the other doors, that would be great. For the front door maybe we could use the vinyl cutter, and put “Doorbell ->” vertically in white vinyl on the brown aluminum. Just thinking.
You might notice that the button is at a slight angle. This is because the adhesive on the little sticky pad is much better than I expected.
