I’ll be running a (big) metal lathe introduction / checkout session this Thursday at 6:30pm. Anyone is welcome to attend. Please reply here so I’ll know to expect you.
We’ll cover the basics: safety, machine controls (a.k.a. “What lever is that lever?”), the basic tooling, and do a little turning, facing, drilling, etc. on some steel or aluminum.
Anything you learn here will largely transfer to the mini-lathe, so if you want to use that machine, this is still useful.
