Oh, sweet! Count me in.
Anybody want to go in on materials orders together to save on shipping?
Hey, look it’s my thing! I’ve got a few extra solar lights in case someone doesn’t bring their own.
The solar lights for this project are on sale at Lowes.
Ingredients needed are solar light (hardware store has) + RAK kit + optional stuff like antennae, right?
Yep! Ill be bringing some charge modules to help keep the batteries from being drained too low that should work for them, but I should have enough to share.
Also any sufficiently low powered lora board should™ work instead of the RAK if you happen to have others lying around.
I’d like to be there to observe and help with assembly and diagnosis, if needed. The electronics area is well-stocked for this kind of thing.
(Normally I’d build one, too, but 2026 is going to be my year of finishing projects, and not starting them. LoRa is a tempting rabbit hole, and I’m avoiding rabbit holes.)
