Hi all, I’m going to help the IBEW (the electricians who rent the area at LMN) as a volunteer to make a lamp-leg for a parade in Lansing on November.
I will work in the area that they rent and I will bring the welder and angle grinder, also all the consumables would be provided by them.
I might need the oxyacetylene torch (I’m not sure yet) I want to ask about the possibility of using the space’s Oxyacetylene (( they will refill that after use , and also I need a check out on that cause I know how to work with propane/oxygen but not Oxyacetylene))
Or I need to ask them to provide the Oxyacetylene set if I need?
Or the other way to ask the question is do they have the membership plus renting that area??

Hi Siamak, I can give you a checkout for the oxyacetylene cutting torch, fair warning that you’d be the first to have one. What days work best for you?
We’re also in the final stages of building a cutting table for the torch, I’m going to start teaching folks to weld together the final parts of the frame this week, after that it’ll hopefully get powder coated and then have the legs attached.
