Latest from Dave's Extravagant Ukuleles

Here is the latest ukulele I have built, mostly done at LMN This is my most popular uke, the Michi-lele, custom built for a player in my neighborhood of Ovid, MI. Let me just say, I have found this place a great place to work, and especially because of the “kindred spirits” I have met here, and I intend to stick around indefinitely. A reminder for anyone interested: the first meeting of the new “DIY Musical Instrument Makers” group will be Thu., Jan. 23 at 6:30.

Nice work, Dave!

Looks great! What type of wood did you use for the body?

Spalted Maple. Everybody loves the fancy wood–and why not? The crazier the better, in my book.

Dave that is awesome! Do you have any ukuleles or other projects that you would be willing to donate to a not-for-profit silent auction for student scholarships? Something this cool would be a highly sought-after auction item and would make a significant impact on our fundraising efforts. Thanks for your consideration! - Katie McPherson
