I’ll kick this topic off, here’s a Dyamaxian Globe I made as groomsmen gifts for my wedding.
It’s based on a project I saw on tested using 3D printed vertexes with cap screws to hold all the panels togerher (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fef_lS6nm70) I liked the ideal (I’m really into maps and such), but didn’t really want to 3d print everything and wasn’t sold on the cap screws as part of the look.
The whole thing is on Thingiverse. I just popped it into Illustrator, scaled and colored the layers. I used “Scan” mode to fill in the continents, but with a wide interval so that it has a sketched look to it.
