Details of ISSUE or REQUEST (Please be as specific as possible):
The motor in the jointer was starting rough, then rougher, then not starting at all and tripping the circuit breaker. We diagnosed it as a bad cetrifugal switch, and have ordered a replacement.

Please remember that VOLUNTEERS will be helping to resolve this issue. While everyone works very hard to fix things quickly, sometimes things take time. Please consider Volunteering to help keep everything working well in our makerspace!

Parts should be here Weds or Thurs and then we’ll try to get it back on line as soon as we can. We do have a 6" jointer hanging around as a backup if someone /needs/ to get their jointing on. That jointer does have an switch issue that can make it difficult to turn on.

The jointer is back in service now. We replaced the centrifugal switch and motor capacitor, and it starts up much better now.
