Details of ISSUE or REQUEST:
A few nights ago, when I used the jointer, there was a ~1/4" gap between the blade and fence, leaving a strip of un-cut wood on the workpiece. It looks like the fence just needs to be moved, but I didn’t want to mess anything up.
If this was the blue jointer, it can be adjusted using the lever on the back, behind the fence. It clamps and unclamps in a rotary motion, like the hands of a clock. Unclamp it, adjust the fence as needed, and reclamp it. Be aware that if that lever drops too low, it can keep the fence from sliding forward. But if you lift the lever to about the 2 oclock position, it should move freely. Also, i used this jointer yesterday, and adjusted it to move the fence forward a bit already.
If it was the yellow jointer, the mechanism is a bit different. I can’t picture it at the moment. I’ll check it soon .
Thanks for mentioning it. I will add more about this to my checkout procedure.
