I came here from the recommendation of the Lansing Coder; while I have mainly in the tech world, I find myself lately messing with 3D Printers and other DIY projects.
I’ve recently obtained the Bambu X1C (LOVE IT!) and is a nice step up from the Ender 3v1. There are also the other projects that the family would like here and there, but no where close in the passion I have with the Software aspect in Technology.
My wife on the otherhand loves all things crafting and learning!
Hope I can meet some people and build some connections!
I enjoy printing many things that make life simple; a cover for a USB Key, Spool Adapters to make small spools work with AMS component, or a motherboard backplate (why spend $10 when I can make it myself for a third of the cost). With being in the Christmas season, I’ve been printing Christmas Ornaments for Family members.
Currently, my wife and I have two collections with >150 models we want to print.
A few big projects I will be tackling in the near future:
Welcome to the space, the 3D printer was part of the pull for my son and I. Seems to be a lot of stuff to want to print, just not sure where to start!!! Then you post that under desk organizer and I am even more undecided!!!
Thank you; pleasure to meet you as well! I am glad to be here, at least just virtually for the time being!
Awesome to hear, always great to have those bonding experiences!
My wife and I felt the same way; we kept just finding stuff online and experiencing the feelings that we want it all right now.
What’s helped me is taking a step back and taking an inventory of what I really feel I need and want; been asking my wife the same questions.
So far, where we’ve settled, is printing Christmas Ornaments that are gifts for family members and church members we’ve felt connected to.
Hope you can find the string to let it unravel and become decided soon (if that should be the intention).
