Introduction - Nicholas Wendling

Hello everyone, my name is Nicholas (yes I prefer Nicholas not Nick). I moved back to Michigan a few years ago and was introduced to Lansing Makers by a current member Christopher. I substitute teach full-time at various schools around the area and run my own non-profit called GAAY Sports, which organizes recreational sports leagues for the LGBTQ community.

I am mostly interested in woodworking things and laser engraving but have adhd so my mind wanders easily when I see shiny new things, so I’m sure I’ll see something cool and want to do it as well. I have a lot of experience with woodworking tools, but having access locally to them will be amazing! I would also be interested in teaching classes/checking people out on tools down the road.

Nice to meet you, Nicholas. The maker space has LOTS of shiny and fun (and sawdusty and noisy) things to interest you. I hope to see you in the space soon.

And when we meet, lets talk about classes. I’d love to have a group of people who can either help with our current classes, or teach them, or develop more of them.
