Hi folks! I’m Phoenix (they/them) and I’m new to the space. I got an amazing review from I believe Evelyn at Scrapfest and just officially joined yesterday. I primarily paint and make Zines (I’ll be at Grand Rapids Zine Fest), but I am a crafter at heart and I am super excited to stitch, engraved, and build things in an environment so full of talented and creative people!
I work a standard 8-5 at Community Mental Health in Outreach Case Management, so you probably won’t see me during the daytime hours in the workweek but I am hoping to stop by 1-2 days after work each week or on the weekends.
Good to meet you! I am an amateur zine maker myself, and I know we have others who do both that and painting in/outside of the space! I didn’t know there was going to be a Grand Rapids Zine Fest either, so that’s on my calendar now too lol. If you stop by on Sunday nights I’ll be on front desk and would love to say hi!

Hi! I also make zines, I was a vendor at the Lansing fest.
The only things in the crafts area that need a checkout are the right tufting gun and the long arm quilting machine. I am planning to do checkouts for the long arm thursday afternoon if you’d like to attend.
The tufting gun checkout is much less involved, just let me know if you want to get that done anytime.
I can also do orientations if you have any questions about how the other machines or equipment work.
