Greetings!
My name is Dave Ware, and I’m excited to join LMN today!! I am, first and foremost, a total tech neanderthal, who would have loved to attach a picture.
Otherwise, I am a newly retired Social Worker, who is interested in developing my woodworking skills. In particular, I make walking sticks and staffs, and want to refine my skills. I’m dabbling with a new hobby/small business, “Caned and Able”, and would love to be checked out on both the band saw and lathe. I’m usually available Thursday evenings.
I am very open to learning other skills as well, and also doing a bit of volunteering.
Really looking forward to meeting some new friends!

We do woodshop checkouts on Thursdays, usually 5-7pm or so if you wanted to pop in.
As a cane user myself, I’m happy to see some nice ones come out of the shop!

As Lex said, thursday evening is open checkout night in the wood shop. But if you just can’t wait, post a msg here and tag me with @tony, and we can try to set a time for it. I can do the bandsaw checkout, but Charlie Finkel does the lathes at the moment.
