Hoping to get a checkout for the new CNC

I’m hoping to get a Checkout on the new CNC. I had been checked out on the old one when I was a volunteer a few years ago. I’m back! lol. yeah so please let me know so I can schedule it. I was told it was a lengthy checkout and there was a small fee which I’m fine with. Thanks.

I’d like to do this checkout so that I can be certified to do checkouts for others. Happy to try and work within anyones schedule.

Great! I was planning on coming by tonight if that works, or anytime this weekend I should be able to do it, just let me know. Thanks.

Let me clarify. I’m not yet qualified to do a cmc checkout. I can use the machine but I need to do a checkout for someone in order to be qualified. I need to have Carl or Evelyn to watch me and sign off.

Ohh I get it now. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Thanks for y’alls pateince!

I’m available the 23rd and 24th. What times on those days works for all of you?

As a heads up, CNC checkouts are a paid affair. They’re currently the only machine that’s like this, but we have been talking about it internally for another tool as well. It’s $20 a person, and we’ll cover the program, Vcarve, that creates the G code, and the basics of safely running the CNC. It will not include info on machining non wood materials, the rotary feature, or vacuum hold down
Also also, if we can’t get 3 or more people scheduled to take it, we’ll reschedule
