Free lumber available

#1

There is a carpenter in Okemos who is moving to a new location soon, and he has some hardwood lumber to give away. I don’t have any use for it but I bet some members would.

Ideally one person would call him to arrange a pickup, and then distribute to our members. His name is Brian Feldkamp at (517) 204-3289.

@rlongflyer Ralph, Do you know how much wood there is there? I’d be happy to go, but I’m afraid my Corolla would be too small for anything large

#3

I think there are some longer pieces but I’m kinda vague on the amount. You
could always call Brian. He’s easy to talk to.

#4

I could probably run out there for some. My CRV isn’t a pickup, but it can carry some. Or if you need someone to help load, I’d be happy to come.

Matt,

So far you and Kirill Moskovtsev have expressed interest in the wood. If
you want to give me your contact info I’ll pass it on to him so you two can
arrange something. I’ll ask the same from him.

I left a message on that second number, which is his for sure. I’ll post when he calls back

#14

Wouldn’t mind some too, if there’s enough to go around of course

#15

LMN member Kirill Moskovtsev said he’s left a message for the carpenter and
will post a note when he calls back.

#16

Yeah I saw that, just posting to put my name in the mixing pot :sunglasses:

#17

I just talked with Brian Feldkamp, he said the wood should fit in my trunk. So I will pick it up on Tuesday and bring to the space around 6 pm Tuesday. I will place it on one of the tables next to the woodshop, and put some sign indicating it’s free wood.

#18

I’m not sure how this all works, but is it possible to post something on
the LMN communications place? Anyway, thanks for following up on this.

Ralph

#19

Just out of curiosity, did he say what kind of wood it was?

#20

A variety of hardwood
