Hi all! I just learned today that MSU libraries in East Lansing has a makerspace! I was wondering if anyone had ever reached out to Jamie Moriarty, thier Makerspace Coordinator, or the library itself. I’d love to meet any East Lansing makers, or see if there are events we could coordinate on.
Yes! Jamie is amazing, she came to an event and we connected last fall.
We haven’t managed to figure out a specific collaboration yet, but still hope to.
Their makerspace works rather differently from ours. There are some tools that the public is allowed to use, but largely they take orders and make the things for people as requested. She has our fliers and sends folks to us regularly when they are looking to learn the tools for themselves.
