Friday 2/14 is How-To Holiday: Valentine’s Edition and there’s a bunch of prep work to do for the hearts.
I’m going to be in Ironworks prepping the blanks every night this week from ~6pm-until I get too tired, and if you want to help out and/or practice some key blacksmithing skills, you should stop by and move some metal!
Right now, we have 40 pieces of 3/8" square rod (about 4" each). For each piece, we’ll want to:
taper each end
draw out the tapers until the piece is ~10"ish long
32 heart blanks ready for Valentines day! We’ve only got 8 more blanks in need of prepping, so worst case scenario we’re now at a place where we could catch up on Friday if needed.
If the weather isn’t too bad tonight, I’ll be in for a final push!
