A very large roll of burlap has been donated that anyone can use with the tufting gun.
Burlap is not ideal for rug backing and takes more practice and effort than monks cloth, but you can make it work for decorative pieces that you don’t care about very much without spending 20 dollars a yard. It will need to be tightened a lot during the tufting and doesn’t grab the yarn as well.
