My name is Nick, and I’m a grad student in the Physics Department at Michigan State University. I recently decided to join the Lansing Makers Network! I’ve gotten into blacksmithing over the last month and a half and was hoping I could continue building my skills at LMN. If anyone would be willing to check me out on the forge/blacksmithing area, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time, and I hope to meet all of you soon!
Hi Nick, I’m Adam. I can give you a checkout on the forge and welding area just tell me a day and I’ll see if I’m available. @Maria is also able to give checkouts on the blacksmithing area.
Hi Adam, I’m available every weekday after 4 pm next week and all day on Saturday and Sunday. I’m flexible with my schedule though so if those times don’t work for you I can find a time to work into your schedule. Thanks for offering to get me checked out on the forge.
Always happy to get more folks in the blacksmith area! I’m volunteering at Lumberjack Festival on Saturday and won’t be available, but I can do Sunday the 8th around 3pm if you’d like. If not I can do Monday the 9th after 4:30pm.

@Nicholas_Emtage I can check you out on the horizontal band saw and the drill presses / sanders if you’re still looking for a checkout on those. I’m generally free after ~6pm on weekdays and on Saturdays whenever I’m not teaching (this week roses should be done by 1pm)
