3d printing emergency whistles for lansing rapid response

Lansing rapid response needs safety whistles. There is a file on the newer prusa in a folder labeled ‘rapid response’, it takes about 15 minutes to print. If you are in the space consider starting it up and printing a few to donate, and put them in the box when they are done. You can use filament on the shelf, and I will donate a roll to replace it.

Thank you!

How many do they need? I and several others have printers at home that we could fire up if there’s demand for more than a few dozen.

Any requirements on material or color?

I’ve printed this whistle model on my home printer, they’re a bit more compact but they’re still very loud: Flat Pocket Whistle by Jonas Daehnert | Download free STL model | Printables.com. These might print a bit faster and require a little less material than the ones you’ve prepared.

If there’s interest, I can print some this week on my printer and bring them in on Friday to have on hand (I’ll be there with the GEU during their art party).

I just got the file they sent me ready, I’m sure they would be fine with other models as well but I’ll keep doing the one they sent.
They said about 40 to start and they’ll let me know if they need more. No color requirements

I dropped off a set of 32 of the flat pocket whistles last night. They’re in a little black 3D printed caddy next to the printer, please make sure they are included in the donation!
