Every Spring the City of Lansing runs Recycle Rama, a recycling event collecting all kinds of things, including Styrofoam, batteries and electronics, scrap metal. appliances, expired medications, and more.
This year’s event is Saturday, April 22, from 9:00am to 2:00pm in the parking lot of the Ingham County Health Department at 5303 S. Cedar Street, at the intersection of Jolly Road.
It’s a drive-through event. In the past, I spent 10-15 minutes winding through the lot from zone to zone.
The only items with a disposal fee are TVs and monitors, which are $10.00 each.
