Laser Engraver Checkout - Nov 12 (Friday) | Wood project questions

Will anyone be around on Friday November 12th to do a check out on the laser engraver? I have finished the first checkout.

I am planning on making a wooden door wreath with a couple designs I’ve already got. Does anybody have any suggestions for cheap materials I can use to test with? And does anyone have any suggestions for the type of wood I should use for a final product?

Any advice is welcome. Thank you!!!

Hey Kaliene, I may have caused a misunderstanding during the initial checkout. Members only need a membership and a single checkout to start using a tool. Since you’re a volunteer, you’re welcome to experiment with the laser cutter to increase your familiarity (especially if you would like to become a checkout trainer in the future!) Hope that all makes sense!
