I’m the area manager for crafts and I just want to go through some things to make sure the space stays safe, clean and easy to use for everyone.

Clean up after yourself! Put away your pins, throw out your thread and scraps, return all the tools to their homes.

If a sewing machine needle or pin is broken or bent or breaks your skin, put it in the sharps disposal bin. Loose pins and bits of needle are a blood borne pathogens risk.

Needles and bobbins are not always interchangeable between machines. Bobbin cases are almost never interchangeable between different kinds of machines. Make sure you are using the right bobbin, the manuals for all the machines are on the shelf in the wall.

If a machine isn’t working, let me know or put a note on it before you move to a different machine

Shelves should only be for short term storage of projects you are actively working on. Please don’t store your projects on the floors or tables.

Don’t leave donations without checking with me first! We appreciate generosity but don’t want to take things we don’t need or already have.
