Details of ISSUE or REQUEST (Please be as specific as possible):
Arcing in outlet. We noticed some crunchy, sizzly noise coming from an outlet in the wood shop, where there recently was a tripped breaker. This may explain what’s going on.

I covered the outlets with tape reading “Do Not Use”, and turned off the breaker (no. 8). We will investigate further on Sunday.

This affects the dust collector and the miter saw. If needed, these can be put on extension cords.

Please remember that VOLUNTEERS will be helping to resolve this issue. While everyone works very hard to fix things quickly, sometimes things take time. Please consider volunteering to help keep everything working well at our space!

Back in business now. We replaced all the outlets on that circuit, since they were original equipment from the early 1960’s. The wiring was fine. Also, we added a few more outlets in the blank boxes already there. This allows the bandsaw to have its own, without needing an extension cord, and should eliminate plug swapping.
